Proximity or opportunity? Spatial and market determinants of private individuals’ buy-to-let investments

An article by Antoine Peris and Laure Casanova Enault (Avignon University) has just been published in the Environment and Planning B journal. This article analyzes the geography of residential investment in the urban areas of Paris, Lyon, and Avignon. It shows that households favor proximity and security in investment markets and reveals preferential flows between certain territories.
