The main objective of the Geodata for Real Estate Research (GIF) Chair is to analyze land and real estate markets from the bottom-up, using quantitative geolocated microdata on a national scale and for all types of players in the land and real estate markets.
More specifically, it will address the ways in which different market players identify and select land and real estate assets, through 4 areas of work:
- The behavior of different categories of buyers and their consequences in terms of the emergence of local sub-markets (demand analysis)
- The choice of location for real estate projects (analysis of construction and VEFA)
- Owner profiles and their impact on local real estate markets (analysis of (multi)ownership)
- Estimating the value of real estate assets held by different categories of owners (asset analysis)
